Hopper is a young boy who is obsessed with frogs. He wears a frog suit and completely acts like one, often using the word "sproing." Hopper is the Cute uber Sim who visits the Town Hotel once the town has reached 100% Cute, and lives on the Forest of the Elves. He is also a minigame host and a client turned potential recruit for the Sim Protection Agency.

Appearance

Hopper has brown skin, big black eyes, thin black eyebrows, and a big toothy smile. He wears a green frog suit with a circular lime green tummy and hat shaped like a frog's head. The hat has white eyes with small black pupils, two vertical green stripes between the eyes, nostrils, and orange blush. In MySims, and MySims Party, he has freckles.

Alternate Outfit

If a player has Hopper on their team while playing Lily Pad Rapids, the host Hopper will wear an alternate outfit to differentiate the two Hoppers from each other. His alternate outfit is a blue-ish green frog suit with green blush on the hat.

In other games

• Hopper appears in The Sims 4 as a common MySims trophy that can be collected by players. His description reads: "BOING! RIBBIT! Hopper is a young boy in a frog suit. How did this character get so popular? SPROING!!".
  • Hopper's trophy appears again in The Sims Mobile as an heirloom charm.

Trivia

Development

• Hopper's MySims Kingdom profile says lived on another island before he traveled to the Forest of the Elves by pedal boat, just like how Violet Nightshade, Grandma Ruthie, and Sylvia used to live on Spookane, Cowboy Junction, and The Royal Academy respectively.
  • Hopper is the only one whose previous home island is unknown.
• An image of Hopper's silhouette appears in early MySims Racing (Wii) character selection screens, but he does not appear in the final game.
  • It is possible that he was either meant to appear in the game as a rival racer, or the developers just used his image as a placeholder during the design of the game's user interface.

Inconsistencies

• Instead of his frog suit, Hopper's relationship book icon shows him in a tiger suit with a frog hat.
• Hopper's figurine in MySims Kingdom (Console/PC/Apple Arcade) has lighter skin than he does in-game.

References

• Hopper says in his Star Level 2 dialogue that Dolly Dearheart made him all his frog costumes. In one of Dolly's Star Level 5 dialogues, she says Hopper is her friend and he also likes costumes.
• Hopper says in his Star Level 4 dialogue, "I'd just like to say, it really is kinda hard being green". This could be a reference to Kermit the Frog from Sesame Street and The Muppets, who is known for saying "It's not easy being green."
• When Hopper is by the pond in MySims Kingdom, he sometimes makes noises similar to Yoshi from the Super Mario series.

Statistics

• Hopper is the only Uber Sim to appear in MySims Kingdom.
• Hopper is the only Sim in Mystery Forest that does not have Geeky or Spooky as an interest.
• Hopper is one of 3 Townie Sims to award the player two blueprints as a best friend reward, along with Jenny and Penelope.
  • Additionally, all 3 of them have a bed as one of their blueprints.

Other

• Hopper appears slightly insane in MySims Kingdom, even after he drinks the broth.
• In MySims Party, it is revealed that Hopper didn't always wear a frog suit, as when he was a baby, he wore a tadpole costume instead.
